Nicolas, un garçon de huit ans fasciné par la littérature, publie son premier livre dans quelques jours. Son père l'emmène souvent faire des excursions d'une journée à la mer, durant lesquelles ils discutent de l'art et de la vie. Nicolas voyage avec son compagnon - une tortue des steppes nommée Ravik.
In a few days eight-year-old Nicolas is publishing his first book. From time to time Nicolas' father takes him on day trips to the seaside where they talk about art and life. Nicolas travels with his buddy - a turtle named Ravik.
