Les sœurs Amalie et Nora voyagent avec leur mère pour rendre visite à son amie Camilla. Le mari de Camilla vient de mourir du sida. Ce voyage suscite des sentiments très forts chez elles ; c’est leur premier souvenir de la mort et de la peur de mourir. Le film est basé sur des souvenirs d'enfance de la cinéaste.
My sister is based on a memory from the director and the producer’s own childhood. The sisters Amalie and Nora travel with their mother to visit her friend Camilla. Camilla has just suffered a loss, her husband died of AIDS. This trip stirs up strong feelings; it’s their first memory of death and fear of dying.
