Par le biais d’un récit fabuleux traitant du comportement xénophobe, le film nous plonge dans la réalité de la vie quotidienne portugaise.
In the same as the gypsies, the frogs, made in China, don't go unnoticed to a careful observer. Batrachian Ballad has come about within a context of ambiguity. Through the form of a fable about xenophobic behaviour, the film plunges us into the reality of everyday Portuguese life.
