Deux soeurs de 8 et 5 ans traînent seules à la maison, en pleine campagne. Elsa avale trois grains de gros sel, Judith lui annonce que cela la condamne à une mort par dessèchement. Il ne lui reste que quelques heures à vivre quand le retour de leur mère, au comportement ardent et fébrile, fait basculer le destin de la famille.
Two sisters, aged 8 and 5 hang out alone at home, in the middle of the country side. Elsa, the youngest swallow three grains of coarse salt. Judith announces to her that she’s doomed to a death by desiccation. She only has a few hours to live, when the return of their mother with her ardent and feverish behaviour, turns the family's destiny upside down.
