Program

The Brest European Short Film Festival runs from November 10 to 15, 2026. European, French and Brittany competitions, off-programs, retrospective, meetings and screenings for young audiences, discover the films selected for this 41th edition!

The Festival is a space for artistic freedom; here are a few tips to help you enjoy it to the fullest:

Marked in green on the schedule: Screenings specifically tailored for young audiences, with the recommended minimum age indicated.

The rest of the program is generally intended for a “mature” audience. Generally for ages 14 and up, unless otherwise noted: some screenings include a content warning (!) while others are family-friendly for ages 10 and up (*)

For audience members who would like details on sensitive topics featured in the films, you can now refer to the Trigger Warning.

The 40th anniversary of La Fémis

For 40 years, the renowned La Fémis film school has been training students in the film industry and discovering new talent. Always keen to showcase its students’ work, the Festival is proud to mark this anniversary with a screening and Q&A session. This is an opportunity to (re)discover two films that have left a lasting impression on us, and to meet their directors, former students from the editing and directing departments.

In the presence of directors Gabrielle Stemmer and Hélène Rosselet-Ruiz
