La soirée France Télévisions - La Belle Équipe !

40 YEARS OF FRIENDSHIP WITH FRANCE TÉLÉVISIONS

France Télévisions and the Brest Film Festival have been working together for 40 years to discover new film talent! This Franco-Brest friendship was strengthened in 2003 with the creation of the France Télévisions Grand Prix and has marked the beginnings of many filmmakers over the years.
To mark the 40th edition of the Brest European Short Film Festival, we look back at four short films that play on the collective, all directed by filmmakers who have gone on to make feature films.
And because living together is sometimes complicated but often moving, sometimes sad but often funny, France Télévisions and the Brest Festival invite you to join La Belle Équipe!

  • Les Princesses de la piste, with its delightful wanderings, holds a special place in Marie Hélia’s filmography and in the hearts of the people of Brest.
  • In Stronger (co-directed with Hugo Benamozic), Victor Rodenbach lays the foundations for a cinema all his own, as burlesque as it is subtle, which can be found at work in his prolific filmography.
  • The deeply moving Il venait de Roumanie marks the debut of Jean-Baptiste Durand, member of the Jury and director of Chien de la Casse.
  • In 2019, Carlos Abascal Peiro directed Jupiter!, a fast-paced comedy that takes us behind the scenes at the Élysée Palace and lays the foundations for the virtuoso Fils de, his first feature film released last September.

After the screening, head to the Vauban for La Nuit France Télévisions: dance to the electro-pop sounds of Jo Vague, then sway your hips until the end of the night with Astropolis.
